What is the Bangkok Podcast?

Sugar-free candy for your ears, that’s what.

When my friend Tony Joh and I decided to start a podcast in early 2010, we had no idea what to expect. However, we were happy to find an enthusiastic reception, and ended up recording an episode every week for a year and a half. We managed to get some great guests – movie stars, politicians, actors, monks, activists, and journalists, among others.

The podcast ended when Tony moved to Tokyo and I got busy being married, however – it returned!

In 2016 myself and new co-host Evo Terra came back on the air for season 2 to talk about all the strange, weird, wonderful, awful, and controversial things about Bangkok and Thailand in general. Alas, after 72 episodes, Evo returned to America, but old friend and long-time Bangkok resident Ed Knuth stepped into his shoes, and so began season 3, with a new show every week. Keeping with the roughly-75-episodes-per-season thing, we ended season 3 after 80 episodes, and began season 4 in October, 2019.

You can visit our main website at BangkokPodcast.com or find the show on Spotify, iTunes, or any other major podcast player with a simple search. It takes a lot of work to put it together, and we have an awesome community of supporters who help us out, all of whom get extras, goodies, and gifts. If that sounds like something you want to learn more about, you can visit our page on Patreon.

Happy listening!

Ooooh, shiny new logo, too.
