How many cars in Bangkok? How far would a bus go in case of zombie apocalypse? Bangkok buses are not tanks, they can only go so far. Being stuck in Bangkok streets makes you the canned food for zombies.

The immediate questions that everyone has avoided:

HOW WOULD YOU TELL THAT THE NORMAL MINDLESS SHUFFLING CROWDS HAD IN FACT ZOMBIFIED?

Would Thai zombies be able to eat brains without chilli? Or would it in effect just have the working class swap their Larb Moo for Larb Smong Falang?

Would zombie store attendants give better service by noticing living beings in their stores? If so this could be a plus.

Would Pattaya zombie expats ever be able to overcome their incesant drive for beer, beer, chang beer even in their death? Would brains even be possible for those deprived of solid foods for decades?

I am sorry Greg but your article brings up more questions than it answers ;)

I'd steal a huge luxury boat that has sails and an engine. That way the zombies can't get you as they would walk under you. You could also travel and run into cities if necessary when it's quiet. OR, if I was in Europe, I'd take over a castle. Lots of towns in the UK have army bases and castles. So I could park my tank there.
Or Buckingham Palace. Quite secure and lots of food. Comfy beds probably.
Shotguns, leather, and a huge motorbike woiuld be quite cool but possibly not practical.
Have you seen Dead Set? There's a zombie outbreak and people in the Big Brother house have no idea.

Serene, good point. Best zombie book I've read is easily World War Z and there are millions of zombies just walking along the ocean floor. However, many of the buildings along the Chao Phraya (like the French and Portuguese embassies) have some pretty badass fences to keep out would-be intruders coming in from the river. I could get some of those. Actually, maybe staying at the French embassy would be even better than the Oriental - it already has walls around it and it's only a few hundred meters away.

Zombies can't swim, but they sure as hell can walk underwater! Land of the Dead and Zombi have zombies that manoeuvre water quite easily.
