Ha! I’m not mathematician, but methinks once you spin a yarn twelve times a day for 30 years you can come up with some pretty nifty sleight of hand that looks legit, be it numbers or pulling a coin from your ear.
But you’d think if they were fortune tellers, they’d know that you’re looking for proofs, not just speculation! 🙂

Did the second guy drew a cartesian graph with some made up numbers? I went to someone similar in Thailand and she drew a graph based on my life experience or expectancy (or whatever). As a data scientist and a mathematician I was bamboozled by her mathematical aptitude! My life expectancy came out a bit shorter than yours, but my only disappointment was she didnt reveal the Logarithmic formula she used to draw the graph. What a shame!

Oh, right, heh. Well, I can’t remember the exact numbers but it was a few hundred baht for each one, except that tarot cards, that was a bit more expensive – about 800 baht I think – because the guy was apparently a notable seer.
